In honor of his recent passing, we’re taking our cue from Dick Clark’s classic television game show of yesteryear for today’s article, in which we’ll pretend to be the ones giving five clues to a contestant on that show so they can guess the category. See if you can guess what the category is before we reveal it at the end of the article!

• The number of Senators voting in favor of President Obama’s latest budget proposal.
• The number of Representatives voting in favor of President Obama’s last two budget proposals.
• The number of President Obama’s political party members in the U.S. Senate voting in favor of any budget proposal for the federal government in the last three years.
• The actual economic multiplier for government stimulus spending.
• The age in years of a baby today who will be saddled with the consequences of the first four items throughout their entire life….

The second to last item is probably the one that threw you, but we’ll guarantee you were on the right track up to that point if you were thinking of “Things that are equal to zero”.

For that particular item, the one answer that works for all the clues is “Things that are less than one!”

That’s definitely a trick answer, but to be fair, no one is going to win the game the politicians are playing.
