In “Gasoline up 100% under Obama,” James S. Robbins reports in the Washington Times that:
Gas prices have doubled since Mr. Obama took office. According to the GasBuddy gasoline price tracking web site, the price of a gallon of regular gas was around $1.79 when Mr. Obama took office. Today the national average is $3.58. The lowest average price in the continental United States is $3.31 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the highest is $4.14 in Santa Barbara, CA. Four-dollar-a-gallon gas has arrived on average throughout California, and a number of other states are headed in that direction.
Consumer price index (CPI) figures from February show an unadjusted 12 month gasoline inflation rate of 19.2%, but in the last month alone prices jumped 6.8%, probably because of oil price increases due to instabilities in the Middle East. If the trend continues, gas prices would double again within a year. 100% gasoline price inflation is nothing to brag about, but imagine Mr. Obama going into the 2012 election having to explain why gas costs $7.00 a gallon. I’m sure the White House would spin it as one of their “Green” initiatives.
The future of $5. Hell I can’t afford the $3.99 a gallon that just hit Georgia. I drive a 2007 Ram 1500 quad with the hemi which I bought when gas was low $2 something and with layoffs I now work for minimum wage! Must be nice to be able to boat. I cringe when I have to drive to work or to get groceries!

As I drove around this April day in Sebastian Florida, I had a hard time to convince myself that we were suppose to be in down times and the US economy was in bad shape. The first thing I thought of was gas prices are around $3:75 per gallon in the area. Is this a problem? Apparently it is not a problem. The road along the river is crowded with cars and boat trailers. They are parked along the road because there is no more room in the parking lots along the river designated for cars and boat trailers.
The attitude of the Sebastian boater is, ” I am going out with my boat no matter what.” The car owners are also going to drive their car even if their car average gasoline use is in the 20 miles per gallon range In order for an American to get concerned a major thing has to happen. In the late 1930s there was a problem with the Germans. They were thinking about taking over the world. To the American people this was not a problem. Let them fight in Europe if they want to. Along came the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7,1947.
ATTITUDE CHANGE
Now Japan and Germany were a problem. The USA became the biggest world manufacture of machines and developed the most powerful military force in the world. After world war two was over, the world problems started up again. The Russians started up a cold d told the Americans to Watch the USSR”, they said, ” we will control the world.” The average American did not care. The attitude was let the Russia fight the cold war with the politicians but do not bother me. Then came the Russian mistake. They put up sputnik in orbit around the earth on October 4,1957.
ATTITUDE CHANGE. It is now important to be concerned about those Russians. America set a ghoul to beat the dam Russians to the moon and do it before 1970. We put a man on the moon on July 20,1969 and the Russians still have not put a man on the moon.
Now that we are in the year of our Lord 2011? We have Gasoline prices around $3:75 per gallon. Our government wants us to help the oil producing country people. The average American feels they can’t do anything about it.
Speculation of the future
Gasoline rises to $5:00 per gallon Americans can not afford to go out with their boats anymore. Oh! oh ! a big thing has happened. Time for an ATTITUDE CHANGE
You fill in the future if Gasoline prices reach $5:00 / galleon
